Later, I came under the tutelage of Ustad Jainul Abedin of the ITC Sangeet Research Academy, Kolkata and Smt Purnima Chowdhury, the renowned singer. I was awarded ‘Sangeet Prabhakar’ and am a regular performer in the All India Radio. I earned the Certificate Of Merit by Rajya Sangeet Academy, Govt. of West Bengal. I am a skilled performer of vilambit and drut khayals in various talas and also Thumri, Dadra, Hori, Bhajans, etc with equal ease which has won acclaim from many. I can perform Rabindra Sangeet and Bengali tappa as well. For my students, I stress on rigorous voice training by scientific methods in order to build up a foundation for all dimensions.
