English – Diego Estevez is a versatile musician who has explored a wide range of instruments and styles, but has devoted himself particularly to the sitar and surbahar within the tradition of Indian classical music, representing the Bishnupur Gharana in Argentina.
Co-founder of SaRGaM CBA Indian Music School and founder and current director of Atmanaad School of Arts, Diego is recognized as a pioneer in Córdoba (Argentina) for his dedication to the sitar and Hindustani music. He received training under distinguished masters such as Krishna Chakravarty and the late G.S. Sachdev.
He is currently a disciple of maestro Raju Chakraborty of Kolkata, following the direct lineage of the gurukul tradition of Pandit Manilal Nag of the Bishnupur Gharana.
Spanish – Diego Estevez es un músico versátil que ha explorado una amplia variedad de instrumentos y estilos, aunque se ha dedicado especialmente al sitar y al surbahar dentro de la tradición de la música clásica india, representando a la Bishnupur Gharana en Argentina. Co-fundador de la escuela de música india SaRGaM CBA y fundador y actual director de la Escuela de Artes Atmanaad, Diego es reconocido como un pionero en Córdoba (Argentina) por su dedicación al sitar y a la música hindustani. Recibió formación de distinguidos maestros como Krishna Chakravarty y el fallecido G.S. Sachdev.
Actualmente es discípulo del maestro Raju Chakraborty (Calcuta), siguiendo el linaje directo de la tradición gurukul de Pandit Manilal Nag, perteneciente a la Bishnupur Gharana.
