She has performed at the Yorkshire Sculpture International festival, at Rotary Club of Ilkley-Wharfedale fund raising programs, at Artsmark Awards ceremony, and also at several children’s centers. She has been part of popular Dance Troupes in India and performed at many prestigious concerts in India and Dubai, UAE. She has performed for South Asian Arts-UK and Balbir Singh Dance Company, both of which are supported by the Arts Council of England. She is the torch bearer of Odissi Dance and the only exponent of Odissi Dance in the Leeds area. She was trained in Kathak by Dr. Malabika Mitra, in Odissi by Enakshi Sinha (Canada) and Dr. Reena Jana, and in Classical-Creative by Kohinoor Sen Barat of India, among others. Sayani also had the privilege of getting trained in Odissi Dance at Guru Kelucharan Mahapatra’s (Father of modern Odissi) Gurukul “Srjan” in Orissa, India. She is also associated with South Asian Arts-UK, the leading cultural organisation for Indian Classical Arts and Music in Leeds, as a dance teacher..
