Hey all- I'm an inquisitive little guy, I know, but I have a question. I just broke the G# chikari string and have a slight idea on how to change it. I only have 1 chance to change it, so I want to make sure I know what to do. So, anyone want to help and enlighten me on how to do this?

Thanks
Mike

Try this address:
http://www.buckinghammusic.com/sitar/sittut/btut.html
If that doesn't work, go to www.buckinghammusic.com (you can find a link on this forum site) go to "Sitar" then find "To on-line sitar tutorial." That's about the best written material you're going to find. Be patient when you're trying to fish the string out of the peg hole, it might take a few trys.

KK, you might be thinking of the sympathetic strings? Those are an adventure! Took me the longest time to get the hang of hooking it like a fish! Chikari string is no different than the other mains, a loop around the base post, and thread through the hole in the main peg. Same as nylon guitar.
