WHAT USUALLY ACCOMPANIES THE SITAR??

From the little knowledge I have on Sitar music, the Sitar is accompanied by the Tabla if it is a solo.
It also nicely blends in with other musical instruments and songs.

Tabla and Tanpura is the norm.
