Does Anyone Repair/Maintain Tablas in CA? Mar 01, 2004 05:51 p.m.

Hi all-

I live in San Diego and until last spring, I would take my tablas to the brilliant Tony Karasek. Unfortunately, Tony has taken his fantastic skills to India for good. Is there anyone in California who can tighten the chat on my tablas to a professional standard? I'm hesitant to do it myself because I really want quality here. Thanks.

People at AACM do replace tabla heads.
So I presume they might do the tightening as well.
Maybe you can give them a call and find out.

I do the tabla repairs for the AACM store we are in northern ca. so you would have to ship them here.Just pulling the straps and balancing is no problem, you can call for more details mon thru sat 12:30 to 5:30
