My respected and beloved guru-ji pandit Ashutosh Bhattacharya ,senior disciple of the great Kante Maharaj ,passed away on 9th of feb2am. after a month long illness at the age of 86. So ends the life of a truly great man. Famous as both an extraordinary tabla player and teacher and reputated ayurvedic doctor.

I was a student of Pt. Ashutosh Bhattacharya for 10 years and was with him when he passed away. I have made a memorial page for him :
http://www.ethnosuperlounge.com/guru-ji.htm

On it you will find his story as well as many very interesting old photos of his concerts with artists such as Pt. Kanthe Maharaj-ji (his Ustad), U. Allauddin Khan, Pt. Ravi Shankar, Pt. Nikhil Banerjee, U. Ali Akbar Khan, U. Mushtaq Ali Khan. Pt. Kishan Maharaj and Pt. Mahapurush Mishra.

Keep practising everybody!
Love to all
