This is a small fragment of 'The speaking hand' a documentary of Sumantra Ghosal about Zakir Hussain. It was shown on the Dutch television last week. I just saw the last 20 minutes. Did one of our Dutch or Belgian friends recorded this program on VCR?

I read this post and saw the video, then i decided i wanted to buy the video in full length, so i searched for Sumantra Ghosal on google. I found out she has a few movies and there is a full length movie on Zakir Hussain that she made called "The Speaking Drum". Does anyone know how to get a copy of this video? i want to buy it but can't find it online for sale.
I was also doing a search. I won't be on sale anytime soon since it was just released in the United States on the "big screen" at various different film festivals.
If I find out anything i will be sure to pass it on. Hope everyone does the same.

The World Music Institute here in New York City just did a screening of The Speaking Drum. They would be a good source of info. As it is still in theatrical release, it's likely too soon to get it on video.
