Hi,
I picked up the following teentaal from the forum.
Dha tire kita take
Dire Dire kite take
Dha tita gida nage
tun na kite take
No, ti re in the first line is played as 'tete'. Dire Dire, also named Dhere Dhere ,is clompletely different and the most difficult bol to play. It is very physical and needs lot of practise. It is played this way: 'di' is striking the dayan with the part of the palm close to the little finger, 're' by striking the dayan with the part of palm close to the thumb. When my teacher told me about this bol he said to compare it as the movement of a sprawling fish.
My question is, what is Dire? Is it the same
as Din and re ? just like ti and re in the first line.
Thanks
Thanks for all your comments. I knew tira is the same as tete and I suspected that Dhire might be something tricky. Looks like it is.
So back to practice.
Thank you all.
