Anyone have any biodata /info, tidbits on Azim Khansaheb, father of Nizamuddin? Anindo plays a lot of his compositions and I've heard other artists speak highly of Azim Khan's knowledge and abilities. What he passed on to his son, the great Nizamuddin, was apparently only a small portion.
I've also heard that Azim and Nizamuddin both were fascinated by and had developed an enormous knowledge of Keherwa taal.

Ps. The Nizamuddin video is worth it's weight in gold. A must have. Get it now before it goes out of print.

I got mine from Digitala.com. a couple of years ago, but I think the videos are available now from AAK music school bookstore. <www.aacm.org >

It's $44 american on tabla .com , seens a little high

It's not high. It's cheap (it was 38$ or something). Ustad Nizamuddin Khan is the MASTER of tabla and this is an awesome performance. I was in contact with Jef Feldman and he said that Swapan Chaudhuri also liked that video very much and He recommends it to all of His students.

Could anyone suggest another place to get this video? couldn't find it at AACM and the digitala page was not working. any suggestions would be appreciated.

The problem with digitala/tabla.com web page was temporary. yea! can't wait for the video
