Hi there
I am new in New York. Can any one direct me to a good tabla teacher in New York, Queens, Long Island area.

I think Sabir Khan (Kheramatullah's son) teaches in the Jersy area. You might want to check him out. Also, I just got the opportunity to hear Mayook Bhaumik play. He is an awesome tabla player. His hands are outstanding. From what I understand he was a student of Gyan Ghosh and is now a student of Sabir Khan. I think he is about 25 years old but is definately one of the best younger generation tabla players out there.
