Greetings from Columbus, Ohio

I am thrilled by finding this forum and hope I can become more involved with participating here. Ill give a brief introduction for those who may be interested. My name is David and I just got my first Sitar about a month ago. Ive been playing guitar, bass and mandolin for way too many years and Ive worked 23 years now for a well known acoustic guitar company (C.F. Martin).

I have become fascinated with my Sitar and I have the impression that this love affair is very common among Sitar players! It is one of the most fascinating musical instruments Ive ever touched. I am a complete beginner on the Sitar but maybe have a little beginners advantage in that Im fairly familiar with the playing of fretted instruments.

I look forward to learning from everyone here at the forum and Ill jump in with some immediate questions in separate posting.

Also, if there is anyone in the Columbus area who knows of other players or teachers I would love to be in contact with them.

Best Regards and Love and Peace to all musicians!
