Earlier this month I had the privalege to see Imrat Khan perform in Cologne: a seven hour trip, but well worth it!
Accompanying him were his sons on sarod, sitar and tabla. Nishat Khan was the absolute surprise of the evening. It's probably technically the best sitarplayer I've ever see. Totally stunning!
Wow, that would have been a great show! I saw wajahat in montreal and it was an excellent show (4.5 hours long). It was a nice 2hr drive home, well within my 4 hour distance rule. I can just imagine with the rest of his family. Must have been sweet.

How wonderful, I didn't know this would be available online. I'm in the process of redoing Khansahab's website so I appreciate the link!
Hopefully I'll receive a recording of the Cologne concert which we might be able to release at a later date, I too heard it was a remarkable performance despite the family circumstances.
I'll be uploading some excerpts of some unreleased stuff in the next couple days, including his flamenco/sitar collab. with Paco Pena and some of his Gregorian chant/sitar work, which is just the tip of the iceberg. . Stay tuned for some big things from NK in 2004!!!
