It's an old (35 years?) electric sitar type instrument that was made in Japan. Most that you find on ebay, etc. need some repair work but you'll have to have a second one for parts or fabricate your own. All steel strings, I saw that particular one back when visiting Peter @ Buckingham when he was still with us. Looked nice, didn't play it though. . .
