Hi,
anybody know the notes for the star trek next generation theme for sitar (the one with Jean Luc Pickard)?
(Yes, this is stupid, but good for a laugh when friends come over). My ear is not that good yet to pick up on it.
OhOh. .be prepared to get a lot a of shitty emails from people who claim you're disgracing Indian Music. . .
I remember a similair topic on Christmas Songs. .
Hey Remco,
I thought about that, then Ravi playing yankee doodle at a concert changed my mind! He also played a french song in Montreal that I forget the name for as well.
This is riyaz. I'm not too worried about people emailing me, I can be as nasty as you like-- I'll just add names to the spam filter.
Besides, it might help to bridge the gap for people who have no exposure to ICM.
I translated the opening monolog (. .these are the voyages. .) of the Originally series into Latin for my Latin students one time. They got a kick out of it.

Okay here ya go again. . .I tried to use an "*" for the "octave" dot but I couldn't get it to line up at all. . . . . . .so from the 1st G to the last S, all those notes are "dotted", ie higher octave
. . . . . . .I guess I'd better add (rather hastily) that all I can remember is the main theme, as I haven't watched TV in a long long time. . . . .but this should be enough to get ya started!
Heard some Ferengie's had a great deal on some overstocked sitars?
