For those who might be interested :-)
Tour dates are up on Anoushka's website. Looks like they're going to be within range of most of us on the Sitar Forum. As I mentioned in a previous post, word has it that this will most likely be Guruji's last U.S. tour.
I already got my tix for his show at Symphony Hall in Boston. It will be an honor to be in his presence! I saw Anoushka at the MET in the spring and she was excellent.
Billy;
The Man is coming to Dallas on October 18th to McFarland auditorium. Might be your last chance to see a legend, and do it locally. I've always had to travel to see him.

Yeah, thanks for the heads-up. And being on a Saturday helps, I'm useless on weeknights. I'll be there!

For others in DFW area, don't call the number listed for McFarlin on the Shankar website; you'll be transferred several times. The tickets will be offered via titas.org
Series subscriptions are now offered, individual tickets go on sale September 8th.
Thanks to KK. I haven't surfed Ravi's site in quite a while.
Raviji is a true rennaisance man with good audience repoirte. He is quite comfortable on stage(I'm sure he lives for it),and that's a part of his performance environment. And now with Anoushka backing him up, its also entertaining to see the interplay between those two. I have been to a number of recitals of very good musicians, but Raviji's acting ability (and good natured humor) also shows up in his performances. Well worth the price of admission!
