Russ - A couple of moths ago you mentioned "the alternating finger techniques from Vilayat Khan." Were you referring to the right hand or the left hand?
Left hand, first and second fingers. Second finger only for ascending, first for decending. Other techniques use first finger ascending with the second finger only stopping the last note up, then first finger only for descending. Those are the two main schools.
