Does anyone know this sitar maker? May 26, 2003 08:15 a.m.

Hi,
I have an old sitar that my instructor wants me to trade up to, made by:

Gurdayal Singh & Sons
Musical Instruments
Manufacturers and Suppliers
Phagwara Jullundur

It sounds ok, but buzzez excessively at times. The base string anchor is slightly pulled away from the gourd and the finish on the gourd needs redoing. Just wanted to know more about this sitar. (I'm looking at an RKS in the meantime).
