I just received my Sitar gig bag that I purchased from AACM and thought I would let others know it is a good little bag. I realize it is not as protective as a hardshell case, but it is so lightweight and the case I got from Buckingham music was so heavy, added with the big-boy weight of my teak. .well.
Any way, highly recommended for short trips from home to car to teacher etc.-especially if you have to lug your sitar (walking) distances onto subways etc. For what it's worth. Oh and it is worth $60 on aacm website.
PS I have a company here in Boston that I have inquired having make higher end gig bags for sitar- (BTW: the bag DOES accomodate the second gourd) - with really thick foam for greater protection, more pockets, straps etc. We'll see if that pans out.
