Hey guys and gals, Has anyone had an opportunity to see The New Lotus Teaks? For an additional $500 above the regulaar Teaks I wonder if they are much different in sonic and artistic/decorative design? Maybe John at Buckingham can take a few head shots and put them on the web-site?
PeterC gave me a little preliminary info on them back in May last year before they came in. He said that sound-wise, they should be no different than the regular teaks. But of course, the lotus design carving was expected to be quite fancy for those who really like that. Actually, I'd like to see a pic of them to see how they came out. Maybe John will do that?
Hey all,
The .jpgs on the site are of the teakwood sitar, tunwood and rosepetal tunwood. It is kind of confusing because the first series of .jpgs look as if they could be for the lotus teakwood, but they're for the original one. That is where the confusion was. Happy Playing.
hmmm, I sure didn't see any photos of them there. . . . .what gives? they really should have a photo or two, you know. . . .[/quote]
I've been after John to send me a few pictures of a certain instrument for months and he never seems to get around to do it. Maybe he doesnt know how to use a camera.
I will say one thing. .bottom line is that Peter C. was the consumate salesman, with that said- he was also on top of things, passionate and went the extra mile. I don't see the same going on now at Buckingham. Hopefully John will settle into the position, get up to speed on digital cameras, web-site updates, etc and bring things up to the level Peter C. had set. Jette
