today i have got my new teack sitar from india [ varanci] i want to learn ragas
i dont have teachers in my area so some one can give me a name of raga that its sounds good and not so hard to play , i want to play real traditional raga that i will be able to find her notes just by listen
i know to play the yaman already
i looking for somthing that sounds like it

Congratulations! Hope you have as fun with your new sitar. A rag almost identical to Yaman is Rag Kalyan. If fact, they are so similar that many people sing or play them together as one rag, Yaman Kalyan.
