Compositions that are played on Pandit Kumar Bose video Apr 03, 2004 09:55 p.m.

Hi all,
I was watching the clip, responding to Bobby's remarks, the lehara is definetly TOO LOUD! Nothing wrong with your speakers buddy. LOL

I have a couple of questions about this solo and I'm sure some of you would beable to help me out on this one. I was wondering if the lehara changed when he played a 7 beat chaand. I know it usually doesn't.

Secondly, the second chakardar he plays well i think it's a chakardhar (13:15) The first , second and third phrase all seem to be different. Someone whos more knowledged of the Beneras Gharana please let me know if that is how the composition goes. It may becuase I noticed from thsi video that alot of his chakradhars don't start one sum and other things that were different. The chakardhar he gives padhant to, doesn't start on sum, but starts on the 5th beat. I learnt that chakardhar and think it's AWESOME. Is that called a GEEDANI CHAKARDHAR? So if you guys could answer me questions that would be great.

Is it just me or does he have his stuff written out, so he knows what to play. hee hee. I just noticed him looking at something on the stage next to him. LOL

Casey
