Whether you have a teacher or not, most useful information is already contained in this site, you only have to explore the links. Here, try this link on this very site https://chandrakantha.com/tablasite/

Hope it helps

Hi "Ustad",

I want to say this without being rude - the title Ustad or Pandit is given to artists of high calibre and experience. From the types of questions you are asking, it would seem that it is innapropriate for you to refer to yourself in this way.

I don't mean any disrespect. But, I think that the beginners in Indian music should be aware of the significance of these titles. They should not be used lightly. (though I'm sure this can be a whole other topic of debate. .)

Take care,

Shawn

Thank for your kind information. I realized the true meaning of that word. Please persue my question and suggest.

Hi,

I really think that you need a teacher to show you the proper positions.

In general, Na and TeTe are closer to the tip of the finger (the last joint), and Tin is more at the base of the finger. You really need to have someone show this to you. .
