Hi i just joined this forum and i think its great.
i love all the extra info . but i am only a beginner and i wanted to ask for some basic warm up excercises when i start playing the tabla. i love the Kherwa and its bol so i would be really greatful if someone could please tell me something i could play in this.

A little exercise/rela I warm up with in 8 beats:

^ - - - - ^ - -
Dhi Te Na Dhi Te Ti Te Na
^ - - - - ^ - -
Ti Te Na Dhi Te Dhi Te Na

Tite is played reverse (index finger first). Play a ge or ke with the first beat of each tite. Accent those bols marked with "^" - ie play tight ge or a sharp ke depending on khali/bhari.

I like this one because it requires you to really loosen up your wrist to play properly.
