Someone has already done a basic version in Flash, but in French. Have a look here:

and click on "Frappes de base" (translation: basic strokes).
It's nice for beginners who have no access to a teacher, but no one will go far in their tabla education with only this. Even if you have to travel hours at a time to see a teacher, it's still the way to go! Nothing can replace a guru!
