I propose to each one to write a kayda ( in this topic ) , explaining how to play it ( scuse me i dont write english well )

Kayda 16 beats

-dha (s)dha -ke ta gi na -dha ti dha gai- tina gina -dhina (s)dha -ke ta gi na -dha ti dha gai -tina gina
-ta (s) ta -ke ta kina -ta ti takai -tina kina -tina (s)ta- ke ta kina -dha ti dha gai -dhina gina

-dha (s)dha- ke ta gi na -dha (s)dha- ke ta gi na -dha (s)dha -ke ta gi na -dha ti dha gai -tina kina
-ta (s) ta -ke ta kina -ta (s) ta- ke ta kina -ta (s)dha -ke ta gi na -dha ti dha gai -dhina gina

-dha (s)dha -ke ta gi na -dha ti dha gai -tina gina -dha ti dha gai -tina gina -dha ti dha gai -tina gina
-ta (s) ta -ke ta kina -ta ti ta kai -tina kina -ta ti ta kai -tina kina -ta ti ta kai -tina kina

*As the name of kayda which mean the rule , the order , you have to play it very strictly , but as it come from punjab you also have to play it grooving the baya

*the symbol (-) means that the following bol is on the beat ( pulse ? time ? )
and the symbol (s) is a silence of half a beat

It is a geat kayda given by my master anand kumar
And now it is your turn

Thanks for the composition. How is ta played in ke ta?

Here is mine, also from Punjab:

dha ge na dhe te dha ge na dhe te dha ge ti na ke na
ta ke na te te ta ge na dhe te dha ge dhi na ge na

Dhe te is index plus bayan, then middle. Return from khali can be regular too but it's played like that which is more beautiful, I think.
The kayda can be varied up to infinitum, so experiment.

Salutations.

Oh , scuse me , i ve forgotten to say that actually it is not ke ta ( evevn if it is the way to say it ) but ; te ( with the third and the forth finger ) and ta ( like a na , a normal ta )

your kayda is good played fast , and grooving the baya
thanks

Try this one:

Dha trekre dhe tete Dha_ Dha - Dhatin
ta trekre dhe tete Dha_ Dha - DhaDhin

you can add many variations
and then to mix it up

Dha terekete taka tereke dhine dhine
Dha_ Dha - tin
ta terekete taka tereke dhine dhine
Dha_ Dha - Dhin

the - represents a slight pause for syncopation
and the _ means sustaining the bayan and sliding up into the next beat

Modification to the last post
when playing the Dha with sustained bayan (Dha_)
you might want to play "ti" while sliding up on the bayan (Dhati)

A simple one but good for the accompaniment ( improvise on the baya )

Dha gai tite ta gai tite
dha gai na gai tina gina
ta gai tite dha gai tite
dha gai na gai dhina gina

Dha gai titetitetite
tagai titetitetite
dha gai na gai tina gina
ta gai titetitetite
gha gai titetitetite
dhagainagai dhina gina

creates yourself the tihai
Zakir play it often , it came from alla rakka
