I have been learning the tabla for about two years. I am moving to Japan soon and looking for a tabla teacher there. Please let me know if someone knows about tabla teaches in Tokyo area. I am especially interested in learning Benares style tabla.
My name is Prafulla Athalye and I am a student of Ustad Allarakha and Ustad Zakir Hussain. I remember there is another student of my guruji in Tokyo called "Masaki" but unfortunately I don't have his contact details. Masaki is also a student of Ustad Allarakha and now is a very busy performing tabla artist. I am not sure whether he teaches these days or not because of his very busy schedule but you can try to contact him through my friend Satoshi Sekiguchi who is Masaki's earlier student and was staying at my house for 6 months when he was here in Bombay, India.
