"Three sets of tabla lessons modelled around the popular Benares style of playing. Sharda Sahai and others teach the Khyal India classical music style to a range of abilities that culminates in a free public foyer performance.
10am - 12.30pm Tabla lessons in three groups: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced
1.30 - 4pm Preparation for workshop concert
4.30 - 5pm Rehearsal for workshop concert
6 - 7pm Pre-concert foyer performance
Bring your own instruments and cushion if possible. Tabla hire is available at �10 for the day.
Suitable for ages 6 and above. Limited to 15 per group.

And how was the day rod?
Hi,
It was really great. Lots of students(fully booked) . From begginers to advanced. I went there thinking that I would be playing but ended up helping. In the end there was a little performance at the Queen Elizabeth Hall and I have to say that some begginers did very very well.Was interesting to see that there was as many girls as boys.
For a moment I took my tabla to the Purcell Room stage and while playing a Kayda dreamt on that I was actually performing for an audience. . .
