We created this site for the tabla community in the Pacific Northwest/Western Canada area. "We" are the students of Vishal Nagar-an amazing tabla player from New Delhi who plays in the Delhi Gharana style. Vishal's first guru was the late Latif Ahmed Khan.
Vishal teaches lessons in Seattle in the summer from June-September, and performs here as well. This summer he will be playing with both Ramesh Misra and Shujaat Khan. You can find more details in the "Performances" area of the website.
There is also now information on the Vashon Island "Tabla Camp" than Jon mentioned in an earlier post.
