I try to tune my dayan in C but half of it is tune to B and i can not re tune it: Is ist normal?
I've got the head cut in four parts; C - B - C - B
What can I do?

Depends, if you're tuning it using the gatta (blocks) and they're all the way down on the B axis then you'll need to pull it up another strap (see David Courtneys article on tabla maintianence on this web site or order his book on the same subject for the proper procedure.) The gatta should be under the same number of straps all the way around and ideally on the same level as each other. Sounds like the head either wasn't pulled properly to begin with; or it's uneven; the chat (outer skin should show the same width from the inside to the outside and the gajra braid should look like it isn't higher or lower to the edge on any side. Or the shell is warped - worst case, not fixable. Also look at the kundal (leather loop at the foot) to see if it's pulled radically to one side and may be pinching the straps at the bottom.

ps. If it's a standard 5 1/4 " head (outside edge - diameter ) then a C sharp should be about as low as it will go to sound decent. Depending on the size of the sayahi (gob) I would guess you should be tuning more towards a D. Even then it will likely drop a step after a few weeks or months.
