I'm looking for the tape that goes along with James Kippen's "The Tabla of Lucknow." Is this available? Does anyone on the board have a copy that I could get ahold of? Thanks so much.
You may also be interested in two additional, excellent articles on taal studies available online, one by James Kippen, and the other by Martin Clayton, (author of 'Time In Indian Music" - Oxford University Press, 2000).

I add my plea to anyone who has a copy of the Kippen tape. It is no longer available. If anyone has it, I would be willing to pay a fair price to cover the trouble of duplication and mailing.
Write/email James Kippen at <james.kippen@utoronto.ca> If he is unable to find you a copy of the tape perhaps he can persuade someone to re-publish the book and the tape. The more of a demand there is the more likely this book will hopefully find it's way to the market once again. Be sure to tell him why you are interested in his book.
