Hi everyone. This is my first post here, i'll start with a quick intro. I live in Northern Ontario, Canada and i'm 18.

Got myself a set of tabla maybe three weeks ago and been having great fun playing. I've studied the basic bols they have here on the site, im getting used to them and im having a great deal of fun. I realise tabla isnt very popular for my age group and in a small french canadian town and this is my reason for comming to this forum. I need some poeple to talk tabla. Maybe pick up some tips and tricks

If any of you would like to chat and have MSN messenger you can reach me at maksim@babiestastegood.com

Hi,

I generally don't get involved in forums, but since your close by (Toronto) you are welcomed to bring your tabla set to our showroom. I will have someone show you the correct method of setting and tuning your tabla, (it doesn't matter if its one of ours or not). As for an instructors list, you can find it on our website for the Toronto area, http://www.kalakendar.com/database.asp.

I hope that will help.

Thanks alot, i would definatly look up a teacher if i were closer to T. Think there is a teacher around North Bay or Sudbury? I may be moving to London, Ontario this fall. Hopefully there will be a teacher there.
