In the earlier posts answering my question about the copper bayan, a couple people mentioned that the quality of the head is more important. I just recently got to see someone else's bayan and noticed that the head was a lot thicker than mine. I have problems with the skin of my head getting an indentation ("sweat spot") within 15 minutes of playing, even though I thoroughly powder my hand and the skin (and my hand never actually feels moist). I saw this other guy play for like 2 hours and his thicker head did not do this. Is this reason for me to replace the head of my bayan?
It's hard to disappoint a pessimist.

Maybe you can rotate the head so the gab is at 3:00 o clock and your palm is on a different spot
It sounds like something isn't good with your head but that doesn't necesarily mean you need to replace it , unless it really bugs you. It still seems like maybe some dowels will help keep the head tighter so it doesn't flab out
