I found this statement somewhere and was trying to make some sense of the first part of it. .

dha-terekitetaka terekitedha-tere kitetakaterekite dhinagena
dhatidhage dhinagena dhatidhage tinakena

Is this:
dha - terekite taka
terekite dha - tere
kite taka tere kite?

It's hard to disappoint a pessimist.

you should read like above. (I could be worng let the pundits make confirmation).

Bhavesh has it written here absolutely correct
You have to understand the written format , each space marks the end and beggining of the beat (matra)

This kaida was a staple in Ustad AllahRakha's solos,variations of it modified to fit the tala of the solo he would be playing in,and usually laid out in the presentation in single speed,dere3/4,and double time as you had it in tintaal.Let's go on a date-you pay!!!

I think dheri speed is actually 1.5, not 3/4, if you are calling the speeds before and after it single, and double.

Good to see someone who learned from Latif Ahmed Khan posting-what and amazing player he was of the Delhi gharana. I am now learning from his student Vishal Nagar of Delhi (city and gharana).
