Are there any books available. I am interested in learning peshkar called shuruat known to this gharana, Or a few examples in tisrie jati will help. Thanks.

Aloke Dutta's Poetiv Drumming has almost 300 pages of material in different tals. It has Peshkar, Kaida, Rela, Gat, Tukra and Chakradar. SUPER book! Buy it! It has suruat with variations.

I guess I would be interested to , I've never heard of this tisra jati peshkar.

There is no tisra jati peshkar. There is this Farukhabad peshkar the one which goes like Dhin--Dha-raDha-/tit--Dha-radha-
and so on for teentaal and Delhi peshkar for various tals. Great book!

Poetic Drumming is absolutely the best Tabla Book out there. I think I own at least 90% of the tabla books around. Aloke Duttas earlier book, Lessons and Practice is outstanding as well, (generally this one is for less advanced students, however there is essential valuable material in it as well)Of course lessons from a teacher a neccesary to set the hands among other things. With a good Ustad these two books are perhaps the best supplemantal training available. I use material from those two books almost as much as I use material I 've gotten from my Ustad.
