Hy I'm new here and and new in Tabla playing (just got my tablas yesterday).
I want to ask - do I have to take some special care for tablas ? I mean - the bongos shoud oiled when too dry, ect.

Get talc powder and use it on your hands. The heads should stay dry all the time. Dont let sweat get on them. keep them in a not so humid environment. Keep them in the case when you dont play, or leave the covers over the heads when not in use.
