The rain is killing my tabla! Sep 16, 2001 01:19 p.m.

Its been rainy here the last few days and my tablas sound BAD! theres no sistain to the dayan and it buzzes pretty bad now. Will this get better when the rain stops and everything drys out?

yeah theyve only come out today for a practice session and tabla lessons. Thanks for the reply. This morning i was horrified by the tone of my once beautiful sounding tablas. Thanks.

Howdy!!! Monk . . . A HAIRDRYER will stiffen and DRY the SKIN without doing any damage . . but KEEP CLEAR of the SAHI . . . see also my suggestions regarding LOOSE SAHI repair . . Blessings.

ok they are good, I closed the windows and turned on the AC and they are back to their normal sounds. Thank everyone.
