Hey i had the pleasure of catching a show the other day of sarangi player pandit ramesh misra featuring pandit samir chatterjee on tabla in staten island new york with about a 20-30 person audience,little did i know and later found out both of them are 2 of the greatest, most saught after musicians of india it was amazing if you played tabla or love to hear it,both were incredible. .as good as you can possibly get,this was the best show ive seen yet.

Thats awsome A-Man. Im certainly wishing I could see more concerts of Indian music. Where did they play?

Samirji is also an excellent guru; if you are interested in learning tabla in NYC, I suggest you look at www.tabla.org; i've been a shishya of his for a year and have learned more about music than I had in the last 5. .

Hey thats great dave,i was thinking that maybe i would take lessons from him,and i came across a couple of guys at the concert who told me he taught and all and i have the web site and e-mail but thanks for the info. .he played in new york. .(buddhistmonk) it was an excellent show best ive seen yet
