I recently watched a video of Tafu, He is an outstanding player but he challenges other tabla players where he would give the winner so many thousands of rupees.
I was just wondering is this the etiquette of Ustads & Pundits? Is this a common practice of tabla players to challenge? I just find it very odd because I have only seen other tabla player's praise one another.
