Misc Info: In 1991, he began learning the Tabla at a very tender age of seven, in Malaysia under the guidance and tutelage of the late Guru Sri Ohme Maheswaran and continued his advanced level in Tabla under Guru Shailandra Mishra and Guru Navin Kumar of Indian High Commission. He learned various Gharanas schools traditions notes known as Farukabarth, Banares, Delhi, from both Gurus. This tabla training includes thorough explanations of tabla technique, concepts of rhythmic cycles and playing speeds. At the age of fifteen he went to India to study Mirdangam under Guru Sri J.Padmanathan known as Mirdangam Patthu. He also learned the Tanjavur notes in Mirdangam from Guru Sri Thiruvannamalai Sivakumar. 2006 onwards he became the Sisya Pillai of World Renowned Mirdangist Vishwakalabharathy Guru Sri Karakudi R Krisnamurthy Aiya in Malaysia and completed his Mirdangam Arrangetram on 2011 He also learned the Pudhukothai notes in Mirdangam. He accompanies for both north and south classical Carnatic, Hindustani and fusion performances. His pioneer performance on Tabla was with his guru Ohm Maheswaran in the year 1994 and his first Mirdangam performance for Barathanathiyam was on 2002. His innovative accompanying methods allow him to collaborate with non Indian musicians as well. His work has been produced and performed in Malaysia, Singapore, Chennai,Thiruvannamalai & Bangalore. HeÕs a graduate and is working as an Engineer by profession for a Multi National organization in Seremban.
