"This very famous bol is given in Gottlieb's monumental work on the Tabla of North India. It was also given to me by my Mentor-Pt. Samir Chatterjee. It's know as a Lal-Qila Kaida because it was played in the Red Fort. It is said to imitate the speech of pigeons and that Ust. Kale Khan of Ajrada, the composer, was able to bring pigeons into the Fort by playing this. It's a great bol for Bayan practice as well as Laggi type stuff." - Sajjad [Ke is implied after Tik, even though it's not written.] | |||||
