The actual song holds fairly close to Bhupali; however the musical interludes freely include a lot of non-Bhupali elements. It is for this reason that we have decided to call it Shuddha Kalyan. It should be noted that the pakad of Shuddha Kalyan is absent.
It can reasonably be argued that this should be considered to be Mishra Bhupali.

Comments – Shuddha Kalyan is a very fragile rag. If it is not handled very well, it spills over into Bhopali and Deshkar. This rendition by Lata is a surprisingly good example of this rag. Of course, when you listen carefully you will hear some .. er .. “irregularities”, especially in the musical interludes.
