The film "Pathan" acquires the dubious distinction of having the maximum number of music directors for any Indian film. Although it has only seven songs it has 9 music directors.

Due to All India Radio's (A.I.R) policy of pushing classical music, the Hindi film industry becomes much closer to Radio Ceylon. Radio Ceylon essentially "captures" the commercial distribution of film music in India.
