Hi,

I moved this topic here because it does not fit in the Tabla Forum...

About your question, Raga deals with melodic aspect of music. Technically speaking, there is no such thing as harmony in Indian Classical Music.

Check the links on chandrakantha.com ... there's quite a collection of sites in there.

Check these sites:
http://www.soundofindia.com/ go to "raagas"
http://www.musicindiaonline.com/

There should be a lot more, it's only a question of enough time and patience.

Best Wishes

One site I know where in-depth info can be found is at:
http://www.sawf.org/music/articles.asp?pn=Music
Dr. Parrikar analyzes various ragas here, but the original question about Indian harmony is not discussed. I believe some harmony does exist in Indian music, but it is generally a coincidence, that is, not intentional.
