Hi
Does anyone here play bansuri|? I've had one in the key of g and just got one in the key of E -- my god are the holes far apart! i guess just alot of practice is needed to stretch the hands. .i just dont want to damage my hands. any advice from anyone is greatly appreciated

Likewise, Paul. I bought one a month ago and I'm struggling with the fingering.
And I have big hands! (I'm a guitarist by inclination). Have you found any good
instruction sites on the web? I'm still looking. . Where are you based? I'm in
Devon, U.K. Let me know how you get on - maybe we can swap tips.

I have a set of bansuris but I wouldn't say I can play them. If you are bansuri lovers and players I thought you might be interested in a one week summer school on Indian classical music with the world renowned bansuri master G.S. Satchdev.

I am not a Bansuri player but I think taking up the Bansuri is msot admirable. However, whilst looking on the web I saw a site www.easternharmony.com
From this you can buy material for self study put together by Hariprasad Chaurasia. I think this should be good quality material. Good luck, Steve.
