Speaking of slippage; what is the ideal grit sandpaper or production paper to use in order to roughen up the surface of the tuning pegs? I've used a few drops or violin peg tightener, but that is a temporary fix.
Also should one use the same treatment on the pegholes? Thanks!

Hi!

I would go for something rough, im using grit 40. Grit 60 didnt do it for me.

there is a thread called TUNE IN DROP OUT where we talk about this, and a lot of other stuff, but it started out wit me asking a how to stay in tune question. I will dig up that old dog and take it for a walk

Thanks Jan. . I used some #60 grit and I think you're right; surface doesn't get rough enough.
