I guess what some users suggest on other boards is:
members create a sequence in .mp3 and then swap it amongst themselves, the bandleader has to mix the files in his sequencer and distribute it back to the forum. Takes some patience, though.

Sitarsrule;
Idea is OK, but not everybody can invest money into extra equipment. My humble 120 Mhz basic computer with an old dial-up modem just can't handle that. Perhaps those with larger, faster multi-media machines and the time to put together mp3 files can try this?

Yes it is a good idea, But all I have is this crappy webtv. Plus for some reason YooHoo wont let me sign up! Maybe 'cause I have webtv, I dont know but I've tried signing up a few times and its not possible for me.

Hi,
Methinks I mentioned something the like before, if you have to save with equipment in general you seem best off with IndianOrchestra Soundfonts CD for 20+-, that is like so many instruments for 1,- each, it would be really a good basis to start with. http://www.soundfont.com/cds/indian.asp.
Needs in addition a Soundblaster Live Soundcard.
Others like Silky Road Instruments (persian sitar) are more expensive. http://www.sonicimplants.com/Products/world.htm

I forget that maybe some people can't get on, or don't have set- ups (not being mean with this coment) when I got my first computer, this being it. I thought that everyone was just like me here on line. I hope in the future to have some on-line music. I've just been too busy with work (36 hrs) in 3-days. then in school. not much time lift in a day(as you all feel sorry for me) After the Holidays I'm free for two months . . . . . . Peace

Hi everyone,

I've found this very interesting product which has a freeware version. Assuming you have the Minimum System Requirements . .

Quoting from their site :

"Quartz AudioMaster Freeware will allow you to record, edit, mix, share and deliver your productions driving a fully integrated 4 AUDIO tracks digital mixer, recorder, sound and time line editor in perfect synch with a 16 tracks MIDI sequencer."

"When everything's finished, print your Score and/ or easily and mixdown to standard stereo files using many formats including MP3 and publish it on internet !"

"Want to work with remote musicians? The genuine Quartz Audio multi- track compressed file format and our virtual studios will allow you to share your projects through the internet . ."

By registring for free, you get a virtual studio : the repository for your projects.
Your studio space may be used for private or public projects. With the Freeware product, you get a 10,0 Mb space.
