Help to find Ektaal bols In Omkar Swaroopa Nov 02, 2003 09:27 a.m.

If anybody have heard Omkar Swaroopa Tuj Namo of Suresh Wadkar
About Taal :-- Its Ektaal in 4times faster than Normal Speed with two varieties of ektaal.

Then Please answer my question.

In this song at first ektaal its original bols but in second half it changes please tell me the bols of second one. I heard from some where its tirkit tak tak tirkit.

Hi,

From what I could hear, they are switching to a fast variety of Chautal in the chorus. Something like:

dha S dhin S ta S kat ta tite kite gadi gina

At least, that's how I play it;-)

It is indeed a 6 beat variation of Chautaal:
dha din ta
kat-ta tita-kata ga-di-ga-na

din is played with fingers on the tabla stuck to each other.
