I just bring from kolkatta a sarod (ali akbar khan style) and i would like to start learning. it would be very kind if someone know anything (materials, teachers, tips, sellers. .) and answer me (i live in France but i can travel trough Europe).
Otherwise I would like David Courtney creates a sarod forum, so , if you are interested, send him a message. United, it's possible.

I think you should go to http://www.kenzuckerman.com/AACM.HTM which is ali akbar khansaheb's Switzerland site. The Ali Akbar College of Music in Switzerland is easily the best sarode institution in europe, if you can learn from him, you will learn the real sarode and in the best way. I think Ken Zuckerman is the main teacher there.
