To Mr & Mrs David and Chandrakantha, To put it simply - A big Thank you for providing an invaluable tool to access, research AND promote the music forum. Also thanks to Warren, Shawn, Jake and the rest to mention but a few. I and my friends have immensley been inspired, motivated and learn't a great deal than you will ever know (and I mean that sincerely!)

For example, I recently met Rod face to face (in UK) through this forum and we had a small session and we thoroughly enjoyed it - Didn't we ROD?.

My wish is to meet you all someday. Hey, Maybe we could have a profile photo section? and even some sample music. It would have to be short otherwise Davidji's server would crash. - Only thinking out aloud.

Regards and V.Best Wishes to all and a very Tabla new year to all.

Hi,

I'm glad that the forum is really developing into a community. One thing that would help in us getting to know each other is to create a user account for yourself (if you haven't already), and to sign in when you post. That way, anyone can click on your profile and read info about you, see your website address, ICQ number etc. . (depending on what information you provided in your user profile)

Have a great new year!

Hi Ram,

I also agree that Mr & Mrs Chandrakantha have indeed done a great job here. Was from this web site that I found out about Sharda-jee just when I came back from India (having just started playing tabla) and while I was wondering if I would have to stop playing tabla because I din't know anyone to turn to (to teach me). Luckily, someone mentioned Guru-jee, I later gave him a call and never looked back since!!

I have enjoyed meeting you too and hope we will see each other again (shouldn't be that difficult. .) Also hopping you will help me with Bajan playing. . .I don't know if I can help you with anything since my playing is not that good yet but. .

happy new year and many music years to you all!!
R.d'Orey

I absolutely concur! What would we do without the Courtneys.

Would like to join all the previous speakers. I'm not a tabla player but a daily reader of (all) the forums. I've learnt from here lots of useful information and also met interesting and valuable persons. Thanks Mr. and Mrs. Courtney also in the name of harmonium players, Indian classical dancers and simple Indian music lovers.

Happy New Year to all!

I'd like to add my wishes for a more peacefull new year for all as well, and special thanks to the Courtneys for providing these forums. I first started posting to the sitar forum a little less than 2 years ago when there was virtually nobody posting to that board. There is simply nobody I know of near me that shares my passion for the music and instrument. But since then, the forum has come alive and I have conversed with quite a few folks, and I feel just a little less isolated in my pursuits. So, ram on David, and thanks.
-Shanti,
Russ
